This is all just in my opinion, with my reasoning. Whilst Kubo has never been notorious for killing off the good guys, I can see this invansion (which I feel will only the first part of this final arc) to be a bloodbath. And I really do believe that Soul Society will lose, or will be as close to a loss as possible whilst still holding out.
Feel free to reblog, maybe making your own list of who you think will survive or die. Just for fun, since you know, it could end with nobody dying after all (other than Sasakibe). But here’s my list:

Bleach Chapter 494 - ★★★★★★★★★★ (10/10)
Well, what a chapter. I’ve seen so many people show conflicted opinions regarding what happened. Some are sad that Kira got half his torso blown off, and presumably died according to Akon’s report. The moment came out of nowhere, and personally that’s why I loved it. I really enjoyed Kira’s character so I am affected by it, but overall it worked really well. Others are complaining that Kubo is throwing away his characters - when people constantly complained that Kubo feared killing the good guys. Well, here you go, he’s not holding back and now those people are complaining still. I’ve also seen people say it was too fast? I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous, the pacing in this chapter was better than it normally is in 90% of Bleach chapters. It’s intense. It’s suspenseful, and it was wonderfully done.
Clearly, the Stern Ritter are beyond what we’ve seen thus far in the series (bar Aizen). This was just another example of their abilities along with the previous death of Chojiro Sasakibe. I think with enemies this strong, this arc will be something beyond what we have seen. Why? Because there is a sense of danger. Your favourite could be killed any time soon, because I can see multiple deaths happening with this invasion.
So yes; the chapter was great, I loved every page. I liked the new character designs for the seated officers that were in combat, and I adore all the seven Stern Ritter character designs. My most favourite is the long hair girl with the mask over her mouth. I’m very excited to see what she’ll be like. I’m anticipating all of them actually, along with the leader. Soul Society is not fairing well so far, and I don’t know what the shinigami will be able to do considering the amount of casualties thus far.
Next week I expect to transition back to Ichigo and Kirge, given that Ichigo had the last panel this week. So we’ll maybe see the conclusion of their fight, or maybe it’ll end with Urahara/Grimmjow showing up to help Ichigo? I’m sure either way that would cause unanimous pleasure to the fandom. (Also, the colour page with all the captains was so brilliant. Love it.)
